From the Lacquerware Collection, this antique brown texture plate is handcrafted in Dehua, Fujian, China. Each piece is built up layer by layer with raw natural lacquer over a paper core, creating a finish that skips the shiny-and-new look. Instead, it keeps the honest marks of the hand: subtle sanding traces, slight variations in thickness, and a mottled surface like aged wood that reveals deep, warm character over time.

The form is restrained, with softly rounded edges that feel quiet, rough, and unpretentious. It doesn’t shout for attention – but the longer you look, the more it shows a serene, old-world beauty. Perfect as a tea tray, dry serving dish, dessert plate, or snack board.
